RAFT DRAFT 2

False accusations comes in many forms whether we want to believe it or not. People have been pointed at for doing something that they have never done because of the way society judges them by what they wear, what they look like, how they talk and walk and most all their ethnicity or race. False accusations comes with poor judgment that impairs a persons human right in this country. One that I will stress most on the falsely accused would pertain to men being accused for rape and sexual assault against women.

There has been credible amount of information that men all over have been accused for crimes they didn’t commit. Statistics show that 15,562 men were imprisoned mostly of false accusations and not a single woman was, and the numbers keep climbing. Why is it that women get away so easily for lying and pointing a finger at someone they’ve just saw for the first time. How can they sleep at night knowing they’ve pt an innocent life behind bars and taking away their every right to live their life. How can someone let them get away with an, I apologize attitude with tears streaking down their face and not do something. There have been DNA testing done to a few people who were innocent yet were convicted and imprisoned.

DNA proves that Franklin Lee Smith was innocent after spending 15 years in prison until his death and Kirk Bloodsworth is innocent after 9 years on death row. More men to this day are proven innocent, but still people who work with the Justice System manipulate the whole system refusing to release these men even after DNA has proved their innocence. For example, Natalie Knighting gets only 6 months in jail, while Kevin Greene spent 17 years in prison for "raping" his own wife, until DNA proved that he was innocent. I, myself, can't believe those who work on bringing justice are not working on bringing justice. The justice system ignores what is real to make their job easier which is not fair to those who are innocent. With simple lying words, their human rights are taken away as easy as that. One example I remember seeing on the discovery channel was about this black man who broke into this lady's house, raped her, stabbed her, and left her to die. The lady was able to see the guy and saw that he was black. The lady was sent to the hospital and after recovery the lady went to jail to see which one of the guys did this to her. Having seeing the only black man in that room the lady quickly pointed him out and said that was him. After 50 years of prison, the police finally caught the actual captive. Poor innocent guy who have missed half of his life locked up in jail for what, because the perpetrator was black and he was the only black guy standing in line for her to point the finger. Her saying sorry and crying isn’t going to restore the innocent men’s life because nothing can ever replace it. No money or anything can ever replace what he lost with his life, his family and kids growing up, etc.

A lot of celebrities have gone through this situation, where as its all about the money. They have been accused of crimes in the nature of sexual assault and child molestation, because people were after their money. Money talks in today’s society and people when people see an opportunity to get what they want they will out of their way to destroy someone so they can be happy.

A lot of men are still in prison for crimes they didn’t commit and yet nothing is being done by the system to mend the issue. Yet the system twists and delays the issue, until a life is ruined or wasted away behind bars. It is not enough to recognize and lament such travesties of our criminal justice system. The people in the system need to prevent future wrongful convictions against the accused and reform the system. Other common factors that lead to wrongful convictions can be of forensic science errors. A law should be enforced to allow the forensic team to test all results twice to avoid error.

Correcting this cause will not only protect the innocent from being arrested, but also being harmed by the real perpetrator. Each time a person is wrongfully convicted, it means the real culprit is out there harming another person maybe causing another false accusation.
The people who are innocent and were convicted of sex crime face exceptional hardship and severe punishments that impairs who they are. They get a prison term averaging 10 to 20 years in prison, a lifetime registry as a sex offender and possibly a s strict lifetime probation. False allegations ruins and scars a persons ability to view life in general and to trust. It takes away their confidence to live their life and blend in with the society because they will always feel like their being watched or judged.

Genuine false accusations which destroys a mans reputation.

False allegations against men is a factor in the dramatic increase in crime. The evidence that American women file more false allegations against men for rape and sexual assault is more credible and better documented than the evidence which convicted as many as a million innocent men. Survey results 4 of 5 women believe a woman would tell a lie seriously enough to convict their husbands of a crime he didn't commit. One third does not match men convicted of rape and in prison. Police studies of DNA fine 25% of rape allegations are false. There is given proof that 51,431 women are felons, while 10,375 men are suspects. Yet, 15,562 men were imprisoned mostly of false accusations and not a single woman was. The evidence that exists of the damage done by 51,431 women than the evidence that was available to convict 15,562 men still sits in police files while the police and the district attorneys and the judges do nothing. With no one acting to correct this bad behavior, more and more innocent men are sent to jail for doing nothing.

DNA proves that Franklin Lee Smith innocent after his death after 15 years in prison. DNA proves that Kirk Bloodsworth is innocent after 9 years on death row and many more man were proven innocent but still, the Justice System refused to release these men even after DNA proved their innocence. The cops who lie and the FBI who was shut down when they were prohibited from lying. Police who knew Nina Shahravan who filed false rape charges against Dallas Cowboys and didn't even prosecute her. Natalie Knighting gets only 6 months in jail, while Kevin Greene spent 17 years in prison for "raping" his own wife, until DNA proved that he was innocent. I, myself, can't believe those who work on bringing justice are not working on bringing justice. The justice system ignores what is real to make their job easier which is not fair to those who are innocent. With simple lying words, their human rights are taken away as easy as that. One example I remember seeing on the discovery channel is that there was this black man who broke into this lady's house, raped her, stabbed her, and left her to die. Having seeing the only black man in that room the lady quickly pointed him out and said that was him. After 50 years of prison, the police finally caught the actual captive. Poor innocent guy who have missed half of his life locked up in jail.... missing watching his kids grow, birthdays, family gatherings, and just seeing the people he loves. His whole life just flashed right in front of him.

ALL-THE- WAY HOUSE...FREE WRITING

I never new there is a shelter for prostitute teenagers. When I started reading the "All-the-way House," I was thinking "what good does this make?" and "Wow...who would actually waste his or her time to create this shelter for prostitutes." I thought it was useless to have a shelter for these teenagers. But as I continued reading, I came to see the ups and downs. At the beginning I forgot that everybody has their own reason why they do things and when it comes to the teenagers prostitute it's always the bad reasons. They are lost, afraid, and they weren't given much options about what's out there in the real world. Instead they were only introduced to one thing and that is prostitution, or they only saw that prostitution is the only job they could do...other than that, they thought to themselves that they are not good enough for any other jobs. As I finished reading this article, I've come to realize that these teenagers really need help and that they are lucky to have Lois Lee part be of their life. I've also come to see that this shelter is a road to different opportunities and happiness. Lee has opened a door to help these teenagers get their life straightened out and help them be the better person that they are.

ESSAY 1 FINAL DRAFT + PERSONAL SPACE

Everyday life a person associates with either family members, friends, or co-workers and in some cases all of them, but there comes a point in life where a person needs to have his or her own personal space to reflect on his or her well being. When it comes to the topic "Personal Space," most of us will readily agree that it is important and stress relieving. Personal space can give a person a relaxing time and the space to do whatever he or she wants whenever he or she wants without having the pressure to impress or meet the expectations of others. For example, they can say whatever they want, wear whatever they want, and etc. Personal space can also enhance a persons abilities and to do his or her work and or job right.

According to the Silicon Valley Blogger in Frugality, Real Estate, there are many advantages to living in a small home. In other words, Silicon believes that living in a small home is better and easier. Few examples to what Silicon is saying are "it could actually improve your health, you automatically live more simply, it's cheaper, and it involves less maintenance and upkeep." I think Silicon is mistaken because it overlooks living with family members and or roommates. By focusing on the benefits in living in a small home, Silicon overlooks the deeper problem of personal space. Sure a person can do a little creative decorating but that's not going to full fill a persons personal space because the house is so small and filled with people you would feel the pressure of feeling like someone is watching you. When I was a child I used to think that when I go to college my friends and I are going to live together and go to school together. But as time went by I learned that it'll be frustrating. One example that I learned my lesson from is when my sisters, my little brother, my dad and I moved here (Seattle, WA). It was our first time here in the states and my dads job wasn't paying him enough so we were all cramed up in a small two bedroom apartment. It's fun and everything but there are times when I get done from school and I'm just frustrated and tired but can't seem to get that privacy I want. I felt insecured at my own home.

Personal space not only refers to home but a persons work and or school. Writing in the BBC NEWS/MAGAZINE, Sean Coughlan writes that "Businesses are squeezing more and more people into smaller offices. And the pressure on overcrowded personal space, at home, work and on public transport has never been more intense." In my opinion, a person who does not have personal space at work won't be able to get his or her job done right. The report says that companies expand their staff numbers but their not providing more room because they're saving money. That's where the companies has gone wrong. For example, a company spends $5,000 on refurbishing their office or maybe buying a a bigger office which gives the company's employees better environment to work ten times better than before. Furthermore, this will give the company a boost and will be making ten times the money they spent on a bigger and better place. After all, overcrowded offices, without the relaxation of any privacy, can make people feel insecure. To put it in another way, lack of personal space at work can create a sense of nervousness with people feeling that they're in direct competition with each other and leaving them feeling threatened.

The upshot of all this is that I personally encourage a person to have his or her own personal space because it enhances a persons prosperity. In fact, personal space is good for the health. With all the anger and tension of a person feeling invaded by others, this can cause health problems to a person. A person to have a personal space can help himself or herself in lots of ways. Stress and frustration is out of the way and he or she can finally relax and unwind for their own sake. With personal space, a person can reflect on what he or she has done and try to improve himself or herself to grow and do better. Personal space will give a person the opportunity to do and satisfy his or her wants and needs.

PERSONAL SPACE RAFT DRAFT #2

Everyday life a person associates with either family members, friends, or co-workers and in some cases all of them, but there comes a point in life where a person needs to have his or her own personal space to reflect on his or her well being.

Essay 1 DRAFT

Everyday life we all accosiate with either family members, friends, or co-workers and in some cases all of them, but there comes a point in life where we all need to have our own personal space to reflect on our well being.
When it comes to the topic "Personal Space," most of us will readily agree that it is important and stress relieving. Personal space can give us a relaxing time and the space to do whatever we want whenever we want without having the pressure to impress or meet the expectations of others. Personal space can also enhance our abilities and to do our work and / or job right.
After a long day at work, school, or just hanging out a person wants to go home where he/she can feel free and relaxed. And if a person lives with others, he/she should have a room or a place to go to and just be themselves. Three of the articles I found states different ways to furnish a persons home for him/her to have either a relaxing room and / or a playroom. "A spare bedroom can be subdivided with folding screens to make space for more than one family member," says the Realestate.com. In other words, what the article is saying is that if you live in a full house, its best to create your own personal space even if it means using a curtain which is better than having no privacy at all. You would think that having a roommate living with you would make things fun but there comes a point when you get so fed up and frustrated due to lack of privacy and having to meet their expectations. When I was a child I used to think that when I go to college my friends and I are going to live together and go to school together. But as time went by I learned that it'll be frustrating. SHANGHAI LIVING

I can't imagine myself living in this house. Everything is just so closed up and there's not much room to move around. Just looking at the picture makes me out of breath. This room is so small there's not enough room for air nonetheless a family of six. Look at the three boy's expressions... their bored as heck because there's nothing to do. They can't play, run around and maybe even walk together. They probably gotta take turns walking inside this place. I guess it's OK because their still young but what happens when their a little older and need their personal space? That goes for the parents too. But then again, it's better to have a roof on top of your head than not having any at all.

Personal Space Part 3

When it comes to the topic of Personal Space, most of us will readily agree that it is important and stress relieving. Personal space can give a person a relaxing time and the space to do whatever they want whenever they want without having the need to impress or meet the expectations of others. For example, they can say whatever they want, wear whatever they want, and etc. You would think that having a roommate living with you would make things fun but there comes a point when you get so fed up and frustrated due to lack of privacy. When I was a child I used to think that when I go to college my friends and I are going to live together and go to school together. But as time went by, I learned that it’ll be frustrating without having much privacy. I founded three articles related to my topic although it states more about ways to furnish your home for you to have either a relaxing room or a play room. One of the examples on creating your space in the article “Creating Your Personal Space at Home” says, "A spare bedroom can also be subdivided with folding screens to make space for more than one family member." So if your living in a full house, its best to create your own personal space even if it means just using a curtain which is better than having no privacy at all. I, personally, encourage others to have or create their own personal space because it is good for the health as stated in the article “Creating Your Personal Space at Home.”
